The Season of Kingdomtide, Year A
 August 31 — November 29, 2008

In The Bible Through the Seasons, the season of Kingtomide (autumn in the north) begins on the Sunday nearest August 31. An article, "Solar and Sacred Seasons" on page 435 of the book explains the rationale behind suggested changes in the naming of Sundays. The First Sunday in Advent occurs on Nov. 30, 2008 which begins Year B.
